About Our Custom Plastics Company

NT Acrylic & Plastics Pty Ltd (NTAP) is a family owned and run business, established in 1987 by Anna Commons-Fidge and incorporated on 1st July 1994. NTAP started supplying custom made plumbing fittings to the local market and grew quickly into a small to medium sized business supplying plastic sheet material, fabrication of PVC, acrylic and polycarbonate products, such as windows and screens for vehicles, window panels for housing and machinery to the Northern Territory market.

Ian Commons Fidge, Anna’s son has been involved in the business from a young age; completing his plastics trade qualification in 1996. Ian’s passion for the business grew and he soon became the Operations Manager and a Director in the company. Ian continued his studies in Mechanical Engineering and as a result took the business into new markets, including the mining, civil and mechanical plumbing industries through the supply of HDPE pipe, pipe spooling, the fabrication of custom plastic products and onsite construction of HDPE pipelines.

In June 2013 Anna retired and Ian is now leading NTAP as the sole Director. The business has since embarked on a new piping product range for HVAC applications called iH2O and includes insulated pipe and associated pre-fabricated capillary fittings. The iH2O brand is owned by NTAP has been developed for the national and potentially global market, with iH2O being one of NTAP’s core business development focus areas over the next 5 years. NTAP also now supplies a range of custom designed and manufactured HDPE industrial grade tanks with a capacity of up to 65,000 litres.
